A Clare based driving instructor is welcoming moves to increase the number of approved testers nationally.
The Department of Transport has announced that 75 additional testers will be hired by the Road Safety Authority in the coming months.
Figures released in March showed there were over 3,000 motorists awaiting a driving test across Clare’s three centres.
Ennis instructor Chris Curran says any moves to reduce that list are welcome.
