Clare Man Who Overcame Life Of Drug Addiction And Hardship Urges Public To Seek Out Help

A Clare man whose life was consumed by drug addiction from an early age is urging those in need to seek out help.

David , who has wished to remain anonymous was first exposed to narcotics as a thirteen year-old and since then he has lived in homeless shelters for long periods, where he suffered from severe depression and abuse.

He has recently joined the Clarecastle branch of Narcotics Anonymous, which now holds two weekly meetings on Thursday and Saturday evenings.

 

David who will be nineteen years sober on St. Patrick’s Day, insists that the programme can continue to change lives.
