Clare’s minor footballers have seen their Munster championship campaign come to an end.

Dermot Coughlan’s side lost out to Tipperary by 3-12 to 1-8 in their final round of the Phase One series.

Clare began brightly and landed the first three scores of the game inside the opening 12 minutes, but a brace of goals in as many minutes for the Premier saw them lead by 2-6 to 0-5 at half time.

The visitors to Shannon continued that dominance in the second period, with Clare limited to placed balls from Cathal Talty for their scores.

Talty converted a late penalty after he had been fouled, but Tipperary responded with their third goal of the contest moments later to quell any thoughts of an unlikely Banner fightback.
