Clare Ready For Battle With Laois In All Ireland SFC Qualifiers

Clare will look to take the first step towards reaching successive All Ireland Football Quarter Finals this afternoon.

Colm Collins side have made the trip to O’Moore Park to take on Laois in Round 2A of the qualifiers, as they look to repeat the result of 12 months ago.

The sides met in Cusack Park with Clare coming out on top before going on to record further wins over Sligo and Roscommon before bowing out in the last eight against Kerry.

Francis McInerney captained Clare to the Munster title in 1992, the Doonbeg man says while great progress has been made, he feels a tough afternoon awaits the Banner in Portlaoise
