A Clare Independent TD is calling for urgent pay restoration for community pharmacists in the county.
Under the Financial Emergency Measures in the Public Interest legislation in 2009, pharmacy contractors were among the healthcare providers placed in an imposed pay freeze.
However, operating costs for community pharmacists have increased by 23% in the intervening period, while state payments have stagnated.
