Clare’s senior and intermediate football champions face long treks to Cork in next weekend’s opening round games of the Munster club series.

Cratloe make the near 360 kilometre round trip to Castlehaven, with the club currently fundraising to cover the cost of an overnight stay in the Rebel county.

Kilmihil are likely to travel across the Shannon estuary for their journey to Kilnamartra in the intermediate quarter-final, with the west Cork club situated 100 kilometres from the Tarbert car ferry.

Both games are set for 1.30pm starts on Sunday afternoon
