Funding Provided For New Pedestrian Crossing At Newmarket On Fergus Primary School

Funding has been made available for the development of a new pedestrian crossing at Newmarket-On-Fergus Primary School.

Clare County Council confirmed at this weeks meeting of the Shannon Municipal District, that  an allocation of €200,000 was recently attributed to the South-East Clare village under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme which will fund the works on the old main Ennis to Limerick Road.

The proposal is currently the subject of a Section 38, Roads Act application and is due before the next meeting of Shannon MD members for consideration.
