Clondegad are monitoring the fitness of both Tony Kelly and Gearoid O’Connell ahead of this weekends Clare Senior Football Quarter Final.

They’ll take on Doonbeg for the second year in a row, with the Magpies coming out on top thanks to two late goals in the opening round 12 months ago.

Meanwhile Doonbeg Brian Shanahan feels they’ll face a strong outfit in that tie as they look to reach their first semi final since 2013.

The Magpies are coming into the game off the back of a playoff victory over Doora Barefield, having lost out to Cooraclare in the previous round.

Shanahan says they’re looking forward to the challenge

They meet in the first of a double header in Kilmihil tomorrow afternoon from 2.30pm with Kilmurry Ibrickane and Eire Óg underway at 4pm.

The action then moves to Doonbeg where St Josephs Miltown and Cooraclare meet for the third year in a row.

2015 champions Miltown have come through the playoff series, scoring 7-30 in the last two games but also conceding 5-11.

Manager Michael Neylon feels it’s something they need to improve

That one starts at 5.45pm
