The Integration Minister says he accepts an ‘information vacuum’ has been created regarding plans for emergency accommodation to be opened in Shannon.

Work has been ongoing over the last number of weeks to bring a facility in the Shannon Free Zone up to standard to cater for around 300 international protection applicants.

The building is set to come on stream later in the year, with a more definite timeline to be established shortly.
