Feakle boss PJ Kelleher says their main focus over the next two weeks will be working toward having a fully fit squad to choose from for their final round group game in the Clare senior hurling championship.

The East Clare men moved into contention to seal a place in the knockout stages with a battling victory over Newmarket, which leaves them top of the group standings after the opening two games.

Up next for the Clare Cup champions is a showdown with the Eire Og side who ended their 2020 campaign at the quarter final stage.

Kelleher says it is a game they will have to be ready for

Meanwhile Clonlara manager Eddie Horgan feels his side will have to regroup quickly if they are to keep their championship hopes alive.

Defeat to Inagh-Kilnamona leaves the south-east Clare men in must win territory for their remaining two ties, with games against Kilmaley and Whitegate to come over the next few weeks.

Horgan says they have to learn the lessons of the defeat and ensure they don’t happen again.
