Champions Kilmurry Ibrickane are back into another Clare SFC Final.

They edged a titanic battle with Cratloe in their last four tie, winning by 2-10 to 2-9 in a game that went all the way to extra time.

After what was a tight opening 30 minutes, it was the south east Clare men that held the advantage by 0-5 to 0-4.

After the restart, both sides increased the intensity, and with ten minutes to play the sides were deadlocked at 0-7 a piece.

Subsitute Diarmuid Ryan was fouled inside the square and Cathal McInerney stepped up to hammer a penalty high into Ian McInerney’s net to send Cratloe 1-7 to 0-7 clear with the game approaching the 57th minute.

The Kilmurry response was swift as Niall Hickey rattled the net to send the game to extra time at 1-7 each.

Points from Cathal McInerney and Shane Gleeson sent Cratloe two clear before Keith King finished a sweeping move with a cooly taken goal to put the champions one ahead.

Ryan then stormed up the field to stroke a rasper off the Kilmurry crossbar but Riain Considine was on hand to tuck away the rebound and hand Cratloe back the advantage at 2-9 to 2-7.

Michael Hogan and Ian McInerney then found the range to level the game once more before the veteran Peter O’Dwyer landed a brilliant long range effort as the clock moved towards the red to send the champions into back to back finals.
