On Monday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Lorna Walsh who is the Coordinator of Le Chéile Mentoring. Lorna discussed the key role that Le Chéile play as a national volunteer mentoring and family service. She discussed the role of it’s mentors who work on a 1 to 1 basis with a young person who may be struggling and at risk of offending. She put a call on the people of Clare and those who have experience of the Justice System to come forward and become a mentor for Le Chéile. If you wish to apply to become a mentor you can do so by filling out the application form on www.lecheile.ie. The deadline to apply is February 6th and training will begin in mid March for successful applicants.
