Managers Ratified For Clare’s Flagship GAA Sides For 2024 Season

Management teams have been ratified for Clare’s 2024 intercounty GAA season.

Kerry native Mark Fitzgerald has been given a two year term in charge of the Clare senior football side, with two members of his backroom announced by county board chairman Kieran Keating.

Kilrush native Owen Tarrant will be the lead S&C coach, having previously had stints with the Mayo footballers under Kevin McStay along with experience in the Munster Rugby academy.

Former Limerick footballer and current Eire Óg coach Seanie Buckley will be head coach, with selectors to be announced in the coming weeks.

Brian Lohan will continue as Clare senior hurling manager, with his full backroom team to be announced at the October board meeting.

Michael Neylon is to remain as Clare U20 football manager while Terence Fahy was ratified for another term in charge of the U20 hurlers at last months meeting.

All Ireland winning minor hurling manager Brian O’Connell will remain in his role for 2024, with no major changes expected to his backroom team.

Dermot Coughlan continues as Clare minor football manager, and will have former county star Joe Hayes as his head coach, with the Lissycasey man having worked under Colm Collins this year.
