The MidWest Hospital Campaign claims the people of Clare have been subject to constant healthcare deficits due to political carelessness.
On average this year, over 1,600 patients have attended the Emergency Department at University Hospital Limerick each week which is 14% above any other Model 4 facility in the country.
On Sunday, the Midwest Hospitals Campaign will be holding a candlelit vigil outside the gates of UHL at 2pm for all those who have been impacted by overcrowding.
Ballyvaughan based spokesperson Noeleen Moran says despite the same issues consistently arising, the powers that be have failed to act.
