A greenfield site has been identified for the project, which if approved will see two new premises constructed to LEED international standards, that incorporate high energy performance throughout the building design process.

The developments would be the latest phase of a multi-year redevelopment project of the business park by The Shannon Airport Group, which has seen significant investment through the construction of several industrial and R&D property solutions for companies seeking to locate in the Midwest region as well as the upgrade and retrofitting of existing property across its Shannon Campus.

The proposed new buildings will be located in the West Zone of the Shannon Airport Business Park, with direct access to the motorway feeding Limerick, Galway and Dublin.

The proposed designs provide for office and warehouse spaces, yard spaces, 286 dedicated on-site car parking spaces, roof and ground mounted photo voltaic panels for on-site generation of renewable energy, and EV charging areas.

Clare County Council has until November 24th to make a decision on the application and will be accepting public submissions until November 3rd.
