One of Clare’s 2013 All Ireland winners doesn’t think the sideshows around this weekends qualifier clash between Clare and Wexford will impact on either squad.
Saturday’s game will mark a fourth meeting between these sides in the last two years, with Wexford having won the most recent clash in the second round of this year’s National League.
The fallout from that game saw two Clare players having to isolate after being named close contacts of positive cases in the Wexford camp, with the HSE stating the players had been identified by the colour of their helmets.
Newmarket’s Colin Ryan says those within the two camps will only be focused on making sure they produce the right performance on the field.
