A place in the 2018 Clare Senior Football Championship is the prize on offer this afternoon in the Intermediate Final.

West Clare rivals Kilrush and Kilmihil go head to head for the title and the right to make the step up to the top tier.

Kilrush are looking to bounce straight back up after the roll of honour leaders in Clare dropped down last year.

Manager Gary Bond says it would be a huge boost for the club if they pull it off.

Meanwhile Kilmihil are bidding to end a run of heartbreak in finals which has seen them lose out in three of the last five deciders.

Since dropping down in 2011, they’ve reached the final in 2012, 2014 and 2016 while they also made the last four in 2017.

Manager Enda O’Halloran says it would lead to a bright future if they can finally get over the line

Throw in for that one is at 3.30pm this afternoon in Miltown, live online commentary on clare.fm and through our social media channels along with on air updates in association with Gort Road Tyres Ennis.
