Nurses are reporting 100 people on trolleys at the region’s main hospital, as the week begins.
The latest INMO figures show there were 45 waiting for beds in the Emergency Department at University Hospital Limerick during morning rounds, with 55 accommodated in overflow areas of wards.

The overall figures is 61 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 495 patients were waiting for beds at hospitals across the country.
