The centenary of the launch of the Titanic in 1911 will be celebrated in Belfast later.
The firing of a single flare will mark the moment – exactly 100 years ago to the minute – that the mighty liner touched the water for the first time.
The vessel sank during her maiden voyage on the 15th April 1912 with the loss of more than 15 hundred lives.
