109 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital INMO Reports

Nurses say the Emergency Department at University Hospital Limerick remains extremely busy, as the week begins.

The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show there were 109 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, during morning rounds, 40 of those on trolleys in the ED.

The Dooradoyle facility is by far the busiest in the country, with the overall figure more than 50 more than the next busiest facility.

Overall 747 admitted patients were waiting for beds at hospitals across the country this morning.
