Gardaí have made a series of arrests in counties Dublin Meath and Kildare this morning as part of an investigation into paramilitary activity.

The investigation was launched after a volley of shots was fired over the coffin of Alan Ryan – a leading member of the Real IRA – at his funeral in Dublin last Saturday.
Around 100 Gardaí, many of them armed were involved in the operation.
A number of houses in Dublin and neighbouring counties have been searched and more than 10 people have been arrested.
