15 Clare Hotels Have Signed Contracts To Accommodate Refugees Fleeing The War In Ukraine.
The Irish Examiner reports that they’re among 270 facilites in the hospitality sector nationally that have been awarded contracts by the state between April and September this year.
Bunratty Castle and Hotel was among those who signed the biggest deals totalling 4.4 million euro.
The figures show that in total, deals worth 337 million have been awarded by the state over that period.
A spokesman for the Department of Integration is reported to have said the actual figure is far higher, however, because of deals awarded in the last quarter of 2022, but those details won’t be released until January 2023.
