Violet-Anne Wynne has been named as Sinn Féin’s General Election candidate in Clare.
Kilrush woman Wynne, who is a member of the Ennis CumAnn of Sinn Féin, was unanimously selected at the party’s convention this afternoon.

Her nomination will be officially ratified in the coming days.
Violet-Anne’s is the 12th name that has been announced so far in Clare ahead of the vote on February 8th.
