198 Clare people have signed an open letter calling for investment in young people in the upcoming budget.
Initially proposed by the National Youth Council of Ireland, the letter is urging local TDs to support a government investment of €9.4 million into youth work.

Youth support organisations believe that deprivation among young people is on the rise and the need for youth services is growing dramatically due to the cost-of-living crisis.
NYCI Director of Policy and Advocacy Paul Gordon, says if supports aren’t made available, emigration in young people will continue to rise.
