Two people have died in a helicopter crash in central London after the pilot attempted to divert due to bad weather.

The aircraft spun out of control when it clipped a crane on top of one of Europe’s tallest residential towers.

It fell from the sky before exploding into flames in a road in Vauxhall.

The two people killed were the pilot and a person on the ground – six others are being treated in hospital for their injuries.

British Prime Minister David Cameron says he’s "very saddened to learn of the fatalities and injuries".
