2 released over pipe bomb find

Gardaí investigating a pipe bomb discovered in Tulla have recovered a further quantity of drugs in a follow-up search related to the case.

Two men, aged 17 and 22, were arrested on suspicion of drugs charges, after officers based in Scarriff stopped and searched a car at Ballyblood on Tuesday afternoon.

In a follow up search, a pipe bomb was found in a house on the main street in Tulla while Gardaí recovered cannabis worth 17 hundred euro in a further search in the Sixmilebridge/Kilmurray area 

The men, who had been detained at Killaloe Garda Station, were released without charge yesterday evening and last night-  Files on the matter are being prepared for the DPP.
