The 35th annual Feakle Festival is set to get underway tomorrow.
The event is making a return to a physical settings following two years of online festivals due to pandemic restrictions.
Among the items penciled in between tomorrow and Monday August 8th is the launch of a new book called “Sundays at Lena’s” which is a collection of memories of tunes recorded in the last century from East Clare musicians.
The book’s author, Mary McNamara, says the tradition of playing music in houses is still alive and well in the area.
