60 Clare farmers make contact with fodder helpline

60 Clare farmers have sought or offered help through a Teagasc helpline, as the county continues to feel the effects of the fodder crisis.

28 farmers here have made contact with officials, saying the require extra fodder supplies, though 32 farmers have made made contact to say they have excess fodder that they are willing to sell on. 

Teagasc, which has partnered with local farming groups in establishing the helpline, says it’s pleased that the phone line is working well.

Clare IFA have encouraged all farmers to seek help, regardless of their financial situations.  The helpline can be reached on 091 845 852.
