Aer Lingus asked to clarify situation at Shannon

Aer Lingus is being asked to clarify its future plans for Shannon jobs and flight services following its commitment to using the local customs pre-clearance facilities.

Following much controversy surrounding the former state airline’s apparent disregard for the unique US Security facilites in Shannon, Aer Lingus has now applied to use pre-clearance on it’s New York services from May.

It’s seen as a welcome boost for the airport, but with a review of flights ongoing, and around 102 cabin crew jobs in doubt at Shannon, Clare Fine Gael TD Pat Breen is hoping Aer Lingus can set the record straight on it’s future plans
