Barefield National School is seeking planning permission for an extension to its existing building.
Jane Curley of Quinn Architects submitted the application to Clare County Council on behalf of the Board of Management of Barefield National School on May 16th.
The development consists of a single-storey extension that will accommodate a mainstream classroom and two special edcuation classrooms, as well as associated site works.
According to the application, the school recently acquired a new teacher who’s currently teaching in the library and the new mainstream classroom would be used to accommodate this class.
Submissions in relation to the development must be sent to the local authority by June 19th and a decision will be made on the application by July 10th.
