The Bishop of Galway is again being urged to clarify whether or not residents in Liscannor can continue to use the local church as a funeral parlour.

Earlier this week, and in direct defiance to the diocesan policy, Saint Brigid’s Church was used for the laying out of a local lady to allow people to pay their respects.

A delegation from the parish travelled to Galway to meet with Bishop Martin Drennan to outline their concerns to the ban but were given no definite answer

Local Councillor, Martin Conway, feels the Bishop should bring closure to the issue.
