The 19-year-old Boston bomber suspect who was rushed to hospital after a shoot-out with police is said to be "awake and responding".
Dzhokar Tsarnaev was left seriously wounded and unable to speak after his capture on Friday night.
Police say his older brother Tamerlan may have died after being run over by Dzhokar as he made his escape.
