An Irish cross-party delegation, including Clare Fine Gael TD Pat Breen, is in Washington D.C. today lobbying Congress to support legislation that would legalise the undocumented Irish in the US.
There are currently 50 thousand Irish men and women living in America illegally.
The delegation will meet with key figures from the House of Representatives this week to discuss the possibility of creating a new E3 visa to allow ten and a half thousand Irish work legally in the country each year.
