Long awaited broadband internet is on it’s way to 16 Clare towns and villages.

West Clare areas like Doonaha, Knock, Labasheeda, Lisseycasey are expected to have broadband connectivity within the next three months, while North Clare communities like, Inagh, Ruan, Carron, Ballyvaughan, and Craggagh are due to be connected by the end of 2010.

In East Clare, Caher, Tulla and Kilkishen and Ogonolloe are also on the list for broadband this year and Clare Minister Tony Killeen has expressed the hope that wireless broadband providers will also assist the continued roll out of high speed internet in areas not served under the National Broadband Scheme.
