The Burren and Cliffs of Moher have joined the company of the most famous destinations in the world in a new list recognising flourishing natural attractions.
The prominent North Clare natural attractions have been named among the top 100 Geological Heritage Sites at the 37th International Geological Congress in Busan.

Other world renowned sites to receive the designation are Vesuvius Volcano, Yosemite Valley and the Dead Sea.
Geologist with the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark Dr Eamon Doyle says they’re setting a global example.
