Remains of a woman and two infant children discovered in the Burren could be up to 1500 years old.

The skeletal remains were discovered at the Caherconnell fort last summer, on the land of John Davoren, and carbon dating tests estimate that they were laid to rest between the years 535 and 649.

Under law, the archaeological find now goes to the National Museum.
