Bus Éireann has moved to reassure public transport users in Clare that an improved service will be rolled out across the county.
Concern has been raised in the Shannon Municipal District area about the scope of certain services – mainly the routes between Shannon town and Ennis or Limerick, as well as airport services and some rural routes.
But the bus and coach provider says a review is being carried out of the network here which aims to improve the punctuality of its bus services here, which it’s hoped will lead to an increase in passenger numbers.
Shannon Sinn Féin Councillor Mike McKee, who requested the meeting on the back of complaints from his constituents, has been telling Clare FM’s James Mulhall that they have to honour these commitments:
