Cabin Crew to vote agin on cost cutting

Cabin crew at Shannon,Cork and Dublin airports  will vote again on aer Lingus’ cost reduction plan.

They’ve already rejected the 97 million euro proposal, but following talks between unions and management at the Labour Relations Commission today, IMPACT says it will seek to re-ballot members on Monday.

Following cabin crew’s rejection of the plan, Aer Lingus announced 230 compulsory redundancies and new lower paid contracts for the remaining staff.

The company says its noted the decision to re-ballot and will await the result.
