EU Agriculture Ministers will this morning resume their two-day meeting in Brussels.

The focus of the discussions will once again be on reform to payments under the Common Agricultural Policy.

Irish farmers appear to be split over the changes.

The IFA is urging Minister Coveney to reject them – saying it’s unfair to take money away from productive to farmers to subsidise those who produce little.

But the United Farmers group says land will be abandoned in rural Ireland if the reforms don’t get the go-ahead.
