It’s claimed the people of North Clare are being denied access to public transport due to a lack of infrastructure.
In the local authority’s 2023 Clare survey, 62% of respondents in the Ennistymon Electoral Area said there was an infrequent number of daily bus services in the region.
The National Transport Authority is currently progressing with two new bus shelters at undisclosed locations in Clare.

But Ennistymon Independent local election candidate Pamela O’Loughlin says that particularly in North Clare, the lack of infrastructure is inhibiting livelihoods.
