Clare Allocated Fire Appliance As Part Of €20.8m Funding Allocation

Clare is to benefit from a 20.8million euro funding allocation for fire and rescue services.

Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Darragh O’Brien has announced funding for the provision of 40 new ‘Class B’ fire appliances, which will be allocated across the country’s 27 Local Authority Fire and Rescue Services.

One of those appliances will be allocated to Clare County Council.

‘Class B’ fire appliances, which are the first mobilised to all incidents generally carry 1,800 litres of water and carry equipment including hoses, ladders, breathing apparatus, hydraulic cutting equipment, chimney fire equipment and first aid.
