A Ukrainian native living in Ennis says it’s an exciting but difficult time for those who have family in areas where attempts are being made to regain territory.
Ukrainian forces made significant advances in the past week, with 6-thousand square kilometres of the country retaken from Russian rule.
Cities and towns, including Kharkiv in the northeast, were liberated by Ukrainian soldiers over the weekend.
Ennis resident for the past decade, Lena Madden, is worried about her mother who is currently caught in the crossfire between the two sides.
