Clare Charities Regulator Board Member Says Public Trust In Sector Must Be Maintained

A newly-appointed Clare member of the board of the Charities Regulator says maintaining public trust in the sector is of paramount importance.

Clonlara resident and Managing Partner of MHP Sellors Solicitors in Ennis Stephen Keogh has been appointed by Minister Heather Humphries to the role following his years of involvement in the likes of the St. Gabriel’s Foundation, the Clare Economic Taskforce and Shannon Chamber of Commerce.

The Charities Regulatory Authority was established in 2014 to regulate and protect charitable organisations in Ireland.

Speaking on his priorities while on the board, Keogh says ensuring charities are functioning well will encourage the public to donate to and support them.
