Clare Councillors are vowing they won’t give an inch to Limerick in a possible boundary extension for the city. As a new committee headed by Denis Brosnan of the Mid-West Task force, gets to work on plans for a possible single city authoirty to include parts of Counties Clare and Limerick, opposition is strong throughout Clare, particularly in the South East of the County. Killaloe area Councillor Cathal Crowe says the area is too important to Clare County Council to even consider giving it up.
