Clare County Council has refuted claims that it’s owed 119 million Euro in development levies.
It had been reported that the council was owed the sum at the end of 2009, but in a statement to Clare FM the local authority has insisted that the actual figure is in the region of 5.8 million.
Noeleen Fitzgerald is the Head of Finance with Clare County Council.
She says that the figure, though sizeable, isn’t a significant worry for the local authority.
