The Clare branch of Enable Ireland is set to expand its services following a major funding boost.
It comes as the charity has been allocated over €69,000 from the Department of Community and Rural Development under the Clár programme.
The funding will go towards the procurement of a new Diesel vehicle to provide daily transport for cancer patients and those with disability or mobility issues throughout the county.
Enable Ireland MidWest Director of Services Tony Murphy says the move will provide a vital social link for vulnerable people.
