Clare Gardaí are preparing for the possibility of a visit to Clare by Prince Charles and his wife Camilla.
It's been confirmed that the Royal couple will visit Ireland in two weeks’ time, but full details of their itinerary has not been revealed.
There's strong speculation that they will come to the West of Ireland, and there are hopes that Prince Charles will come to Clare, over a decade after he cancelled a scheduled visit to the Burren.
Reports in today's Clare Champion say Clare's Chief Superintendent John Kerin has indicated that they are preparing for the possibility that the couple could arrive here, possibly arriving into Shannon, but that full details have yet to be confirmed.
