A Clare Government Senator is calling on the Taoiseach to diplomatically intervene to ensure the family of Mick Ryan receive justice.

The Lahinch engineer was one of 157 people on board Boeing 737 Max jet which crashed shortly after take off in Ethiopia in March 2019, killing all on board.

Mick’s wife Naoise filed a motion with a US Court before Christmas claiming the rights of victims families had been ‘violated’ by a deferred prosecution agreement between the airline and the US Justice Department.

Speaking in the Seanad, Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway wants the Ryan family’s fight for justice to be taken to the country’s highest office.
