Clare Haven is calling on employers to provide dedicated supports for workers returning from domestic violence leave.

From today, the Work-Life Balance act will allow victims of domestic abuse to take five days of paid leave in a twelve month period.

Between 2019 and 2021 alone in Clare, Gardaí were called to a total of 2,597 such incidents.

Director of Services at Clare Haven, Dr Siobhán O’Connor has been telling Clare FM’s Daragh Dolan that it’s vital suitable outlets are available in the workplace for those trying to re-adjust after a traumatic experience.
