The Chair of Clare’s Joint Policing Committee is urging communities across the county to ‘look after each other’ in 2023.
Thefts, burglaries and domestic disputes have increased in the Clare Garda Division throughout 2022.
It’s led to renewed calls for more Gardai to be recruited from Templemore for this county, something which senior personnel have said they’re ‘hopeful’ will happen in the new year.
Clare JPC Chair and Sixmilebridge-based Fine Gael Councillor John Crowe believes a renewed community focus may help to reduce crime figures across 2023.
